The news will come as a blow to the other car manufacturers', who had been planning to set up their own series, the GPWC, in order to try and ensure that the teams' get a bigger percentage of the sport's commercial income.

Als je ferrari kwijt ben (de enige constructeur die in F1zit om er te blijven) Gaan Honda, BMW en renault het onder mekaar uitvechten?

Bovendien zou het ook nogal voorgesteld worden als de "vlucht" van de grote contructeurs .... omdat ze het al jaren niet meer kunnen halen van Ferrari ...

Ok ... de waarheid is iets genuanceerder ... Maar echt goed voor het imago is zoiets niet.

Ferrari heeft gelijk als je het mij vraagt. Remember de FISA-FOCA-jaren. Toen sprong Ferrari ook van de ene naar de andere kant. Ook nu weer. Een persverantwoordelijke van Ferrari zei het trouwens: "De GPWC heeft zijn doel bereikt. We hebben nu een veel betere deal bekomen van Ecclestone." Wat erop duidt dat Ferrari de GPWC nooit als een serieuze 'issue' beschouwde, maar enkel als drukmiddel op Mr. Ecclestone.

Willen of niet, de andere teams zullen moeten toegeven en schaapjes spelen zoals het daarvoor ook al deden. Ondertussen worden de kleine teams nog eens uitgebuit door de 'premie' die ze aan Ferrari moeten betalen...

En dan zeggen dat die sport mij meer kan boeien als andere raceklassen. Ik versta het zelf niet. :|

Goed nieuws!! - heb nooit onder stoelen of banken gestoken een voorstander te zijn van het GPWC initiatief :D

in 2008
GPWC = F1
huidige F1 = WC-F1

In mijn ogen: een goede evolutie. Laat Ferrari en Bernie maar goeie maatjes zijn, met 2 wagens heb je nog geen race, laat staan een kampioenschap.

ik denk wel dat ze dan een regel zullen implementeren dat teams toelaat van 20 wagens in te zetten. de grid zou dan wel enorm rood zijn, en het kampioenschap enorm saai
