Miramas test with BMW Williams
Is Jacques back?
The Jacques Villeneuve link with BMW Williams refuses to go away with rumour after rumour suggesting he will test with the Grove baded squad.
Now according to Christian Tortora of RDS, Villeneuve will complete a 50km shakedown for BMW Williams today on the BMW-owned Miramas circuit in the South of France. Following the US Grand Prix at Indianapolis on June 20th, the 1996 Champion will complete a more comprehenice test programme at Jerez.
By completing 50km or less at Miramas, the test will not be counted as an official test day, prohibited in the week preceeding a Grand Prix. This tactic is used by Ferrari at their Fiorano test facility on a regular basis.
BMW Williams have not yest to make any annoucement regarding a test with Jacques Villeneuve.
