Dit jaar waren er slecht 3 fabrieksteams (Audi, Corvette en Morgan

Volgend jaar zullen Maserati (met hun GT1, woeps, bedoel GTS), Aston Martin (een GTS ontwikkeld door Prodrive) en Lamborghini (met hun Murcielago) als fabrieksteam deelnemen. De strijd in GTS wordt dus ongelooflijk spannend: Maserati vs Aston Martin vs Corvette vs Lamborghini vs Ferrari (550 en 575) en misschien zelfs vs Saleen
Audi komt hoogstwaarschijnlijk met een nieuwe wagen.
In 2006 komen zogezegd enkele grote namen. Geruchten zeggen dat Porsche en Mazda met een prototype komen (Mazda naar het schijnt met een LMP2).

Let me give you an initial opinion. According to the experts the field that we have this year should give rise to an exceptionally open race. There’s a good balance between the cars in both the protoype and GT classes. We’ve got a couple of duels in perspective like Ferrari-Corvette in LM.GTS and Porsche-Ferrari in LM GT. It should be very exciting. In 1999, we had seven manufacturers at the start and our ambition is to come up with a field containing the best in the world. Among the factors involved is a unification of the regulations with the FIA. My predecessor Michel Cosson and myself have met the representatives of the major manufacturers and we know that many of them will enter. In 2005, we’ll have Aston Martin, Maserati and Lamborghini. It’ll be a great year. And I can tell you without being able to give you more specific information for the moment that we’ll have an exceptional field in 2006.
