In 2005 zal het FIA GT een klasse erbij krijgen. Naast GT en N-GT krijgen we een GT3 klasse erbij. De namen van GT en N-GT gaan ook verdwijnen.
2004 GT => 2005 GT1
2004 N-GT => 2005 GT2
nieuw in 2005 => GT3
Wagens zoals de Mosler, Vertigo en TVR's kunnen we daar verwachten. Mooie ontwikkeling om de dalende deelnemers aantallen in 2004 een halt toe te roepen, relatief gezien goedkopere wagens om aan het rijden te houden.
