Wat betreft de huidige Kanaal-bocht, enige jaren heeft die bocht de Kanaal 2 bocht geheten vanwege de sponsoring door het gelijknamige TV-station. Er stond destijds een mooi reclame-object in die bocht. Enkele jaren terug hebben enkele onverlaten een bepaalde letter van dat object verwijderd, ik zal maar niet zeggen welke letter. De bocht kreeg ineens een erg ranzig 18+ karakter
