German cross country Team X-raid added Nasser Al-Attiyah (Qatar) and Alfie Cox (South Africa) to its line-up for the Dakar Rally 2006 (December 31st, 2005 to January 15th, 2006). X-raid, which runs Diesel powered BMW's in international cross country rallying since 2002, will enter a fleet of BMW X5 and all-new BMW X3 in next year’s desert classic. “The Dakar Rally has never been won in a Diesel powered car”, Team X-raid principal Sven Quandt said. “We are forming a strong team of determined drivers, to fight for that prestigious victory again in 2006.”
