Gordon, a veteran off-road racer, was scheduled to fly to Mexico after Friday's Cup qualifying, start the Baja 500 on Saturday in his Trophy Truck and finish, he hopes, in his Hummer H3 before flying back to Dover for Sunday's Neighborhood Excellence 400.
