Een GT wagen (GT1 en GT2) moet dus 2 deuren hebben. Daarom heeft ALMS GT2S uitgevonden.

Maserati heeft 50 MC12s gebouwd en voldoet dus aan de vereiste om 25 straatversies per jaar te bouwen. zie ook:

Voor GT2 moet een kleine constructeur 25 straatwagens bouwen en een grote minimum 100.
