GrandMa is just a little joke as the GrandAm is not much liked.
Again you can't really rate his performance saying he was 17th before but only 36th after the pitstop.
The Glen is 90 laps with a 30-35 laps pit-window. Some teams plan their race from A to B and some from B to A. So there's always different pit strategies in play.
And oppsite to Ovals you don't pit on the next best yellow as track position is more important than a full tank of gas.
Imagine how easily you can make up ground on an Oval, so you pit when yellow comes out. Doesn't matter. You don't do that on a road course.
Marc's perfomance was not glorious, but good enough and he was absolutely on speed.
Just a little mistake than can also happen to Junior or Jeff Gordon, nohting serious.
