147. Le Circuit Mont Tremblant (Mont-Tremblant, QC, Canada)

Built in 1964 as a 1.5 mile track. In 1965 the track was expanded to his current length of 2.65 miles (4,26 km).
On 11 September 1966, John Surtees won the very first Can-Am race in his Lola T70.
In 2000 the deteriorated track was taken over by new owners and restored to its old glory.
The track is called “Le Circuit” by the locals.

Circuit werd geopend op 3 augustus 1964 en bestond enkel uit de 12 bochten van de North Loop (1.5 mile).
Canadees Ludwig Heimrath won met zijn Cooper-Ford 289 de eerste wedstrijd van 32 ronden.
Reeds in 1965 werd het circuit velengd tot 2.65 miles (4,26 km).
De eerste wedstrijd op het nieuwe circuit werd gewonnen door John Surtees met een Chevrolet Lola T-70.
