FIA GT : Jarama

Carsport Holland drivers Anthony Kumpen and Mike Hezemans rounded out fastest overall in today's Free Practice at the warm sunny Jarama Circuit, near Madrid, Spain.

The pairing, who have suffered more than their fair share of bad luck in recent rounds of the FIA GT Championship, appear to be on course for a better race, which encompasses round four of the European Championship.

Speaking after practice Kumpen commented: "The car felt good. It wasn't all plain sailing really because Andrea Piccini was very fast in the BMS Scuderia Ferrari 550 thanks to some changes to their aerodynamics. However it's looking better for Mike and I. Tomorrow is when it counts however, that's when we have to put our car into Superpole."

"The Superpole idea is great for added TV benefits and for my sponsors. I enjoy the one-lap against the clock because you really have to concentrate and although you have to be extremely quick, you must be careful not to destroy the tyres, which you will start the race on."
