Boel hebben in de paddock moet niet altijd negatief zijn.

After the well-publicised fracas with BTCC title protagonist Yvan Muller at Brands Hatch MG's Anthony Reid has added an unlikely sponsor to his list of backers...

Famous British Boxing equipment supplier, Lonsdale, thought the WSR run MG Sport and Racing driver could use a little extra support as he prepared to battle it out with Muller, on the track this time, at Donington Park. Reid joins the illustrious ranks of sporting heroes that have previously favoured the brand, including the likes of Muhammed Ali, Lennox Lewis and Henry Cooper.

Commenting on his confrontation with the fiery Frenchman at Brands Hatch two weeks ago, Anthony said "He [Muller] came round and grabbed me by the throat and tried punching me through my helmet. I think this is Yvan Muller under pressure because he's not won the BTCC title before and doesn't know how to cope with it. I think I need to start some boxing training if Motorsport is getting physical off the track as well!"

Muller has since made a public apology to Anthony, but was forced to sit out Yesterday's valuable free practice session due to an 11 day suspension. After Donington Park, the Green Flag BTCC will head to Oulton Park for the final round of 2003 on 20-21 September.
