Jordan van Abramovic?

Abramovich set to buy Jordan
And maybe Michael Schumacher [05/01/04 - 09:51]

Not content with just buying British football club Chelsea, Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich has put in an offer to buy the Jordan Grand Prix team.

According to reports in the British media, Abramovich has offered Eddie Jordan £150million to buy his team. The two have held four secret meetings in the past few months in order to come to some sort of agreement.

However, Abramovich doesn’t just want to buy Jordan – he wants to turn the team into one capable of winning Championships, and is willing to spare no costs in order to do so. And if those costs include buying six-times World Champion Michael Schumacher than so be it.

“A deal is definitely on the cards. Even though he took over Chelsea, motor racing is Roman’s Number One sporting love,” an insider told The Sun. “Once he has taken over Jordan, he will buy the best cars, best technicians and the best drivers. Money is no object.” bron: F1live.com
