Winner of the day's special, Stephane Peterhansel (Mitsubishi n°203) was given a 5 minutes penalty for pushing his car in a check point zone. This penalty only concerns the overall, not the day's special. Had he been seen by an official being towed by an assistance truck, he would have been given a 30min penalty. Such was not the case.
In the overall, Peterhansel keeps his leadership by 1min12.
Colin McRae (Nissan n°202) was given a penalty (7min30) for speeding in Er Rachidia. For the same reasons, Wambergue (n°235) was given a 6min30 penalty. McRae drops down to 8th spot at 18min42.
