WTCC 2006: Ook in Monaco?
Autosport meldt dat de wtcc met succes een aanvraag heeft ingediend om om de twee jaar in monaco te koersen. Waarom om de twee jaar? wel omdat ze zouden afwisselen met de GP historique. ok is het zo goed als zeker dat de WTCC naar Spa blijft komen, wel niet meer tijdens de 24 uren maar als hoofdact op een ander weekend.

Op de voorlopige kalender voor 2006 staat Monaco in elk geval niet op. Wel 2 stratenraces in Abu Dhabi en Helsinki in de plaats.
Helemaal spijtig is het feit dat ze niet meer naar Spa komen  Allemaal gevolg van scheiding FIA GT-WTCC. bron: WTCC - Geen races meer in Spa in 2006 (pitstop.tv)

ik denk dat Monaco zowiezo niet kon in 2006 omdat er dan deen GP historique wordt georganiseerd. Geen Spa dat valt wel tegen.

Het kan toch niet waar zijn geen wtcc op spa in 2006
Ik mag hopen dat de nieuwe kalender gebruikt wordt om het circuit onder druk te zetten om op betere tijden te rijden dus niet in het voorprogamma van de 24 uur

ik vind de keuze van hun circuit een beetje "tweederangs". deat circuit in brazilie nog nooit van gehoord. Brands Hatch vind ikw el een betere keuze voor touringcar races dan Silverstone.

Curitba da's ene Signor Farfus z'n hometown...dus volle tribunes en een vaste stopplaats voor Zuidamerikaans toerwagenkampioenschap . Uiteraard kennen we hier voornamelijk de F1 circuits maar vb. Italie heeft Monza en Imola voor de F1 maar Mugello, Vallelunga, Misano, Enna, etc. zijn daarom geen prutspistes... Brazilie is idd. onbekender maar daarom lokaal niet onbeminder .

Ik heb de indruk dat toerwagen racen beter past op die "2e rangs baantjes" dan op de gladde, strakke GP circuits van tegenwoordig. De WTCC race in Mexico bijvoorbeeld was naar mijn mening erg aantrekkelijk, ondanks dat het circuit onder de maat was.

Updated 2006 calendar
An updated 2006 calendar has been released. There are no major changes from the initial release. A few dates have been changed. Though the Helsinki street race has been removed from the calendar and is sheduled for premiere in 2007 instead.
