nu Schumi weg is, en geen duitse piloten/teams onmiddellijk voor een overwinning zullen meedoen, dan maar Mclaren voor het Duitse volkslied laten zorgen?

DIT menen ze toch niet serieus zeker?

Ik vind dat redelijk normaal, bij Renault wilden ze toch ook de Marseillaise en niet God Save the Queen. Dus waarom niet bij Mclaren, dat toch grotendeels van Mercedes is, het Duitse Volkslied.

Wat een onzin zeg. Het team is nog steeds engels. Die vergelijking met Renault gaat ook niet op, aangezien Renault een frans team. Dat de fabriek in Engeland staat doet daar niks aan af.

Renault heeft ook een fabriek in Frankrijk (Viry) of is die gesloten?

Mclaren is, zolang het niet volledig overgenomen wordt door Mercedes, nog altijd Brits.

Dat is juist en ik denk dat de F1-motoren daar gemaakt worden. Het chassis wordt in Engeland gemaakt.

zodra het team mercedes heet,vind ik dat het duitse volkslied moet gedraaid worden !
maar zolang het mclaren mercedes heet...

Neen, want het is/was overgenomen door een Brit. En daarmee werd het een Brits team. Ik begrijp Mercedes niet zo goed. Ook al zouden ze meer dan 50% van de aandelen hebben (?) dan nog is het maar de vraag onder welke handelsrechtbank enz. de zaak geregistreerd is enz. enz.

Dat ze de hoofdzetel in Stuttgart zetten en alles onder Duits recht doen, dan kunnen ze hun volkslied hebben, maar tot die tijd zal het wel Brits blijven.

Wat een geneuzel weer...

Als ik het artikel zo terug lees gaat dit volledig buiten Mercedes om, het gajes van de welberuchte Bild had weer eens behoefte aan bladvulling. On behalf of Germany, Bild said the McLaren MP4-22 is 'OUR car!'

Hoofdzetels maakt niet uit. het is bij welke nationale autosportfederatie je aangesloten bent. Zo zat Midland helemaal in Engeland maar waren ze Russisch. En denk Spyker nu Nederlands.
