Race tegen AIDS
Persbericht Circuit Zolder
Race Against Aids 21 & 22 juli op Circuit Zolder (België) De race tegen aids in de hoogste versnelling, Aids is wereldwijd de vierde, en in sommige landen al de eerste doodsoorzaak geworden. De geneeskunde werkt hard aan een medicijn tegen deze slopende ziekte maar tot op heden blijft het succes relatief beperkt. Er is nog veel geld nodig om HIV/ Aids projecten in ontwikkelingslanden te kunnen ondersteunen. Deze boodschap kwam duidelijk over bij Racing Management, de organisator van een race festival op Circuit Zolder in België. Dit jaar heeft de organisatie besloten om definitief de samenwerking aan te gaan met Stop Aids Now, een organisatie die zich inzet voor de bestijding van de ziekte Aids. Op 20 & 21 juli a.s. zal op "Circuit Zolder in België" voor het eerst de Stop Aids Now race worden verreden. Een deel van de opbrengsten van dit evenement zal ten goede komen aan de aidsprojecten van Stop Aids Now. Op zaterdag 20 juli zullen de kwalificaties plaatsvinden en op zondag 21 juli de race. Het programma zal er als volgt uitzien. Merwerde Springs Cup ID&T Renault Clio Cup Euro GT Dutch Supercar Challenge ID&T Renault Clio Cup Euro GT De Kumho Euro GT Series rijdt dit jaar 7 rondenvan elk 2 races . Op dit moment zijn 4 ronden achter de rug. Met nog 3 ronden te gaan zijn er in elke klasse nog diverse kandidaten voor de klasse-overwinning alhoewel zich wel een patroon begint af te tekenen. De Kumho Euro GT Series zal in Zolder ook aanwezig zijn met enkele gezellige hospitality unit waar teams en gasten elkaar ontmoeten onder het genot van een hapje en een drankje. De hoofdsponsor Kumho is op Zolder aanwezig met een nieuw type slick band, die speciaal voor de Porsches in klasse C een welkome aanvulling moet zijn. Alle auto's in klasse C rijden op slicks van de Koreanse bandenfabrikant Kumho Tyres. Deze banden zijn samen met de Euro GT Series ontwikkeld. Wie er in tijdens de Pinksterraces op Zandvoort bij was moet echt hebben gesmuld. Het was zonder twijfel de Clio cup race sinds jaren. Geen bot geram, geen onsportief gedrag maar wel echte spierballengevechten. Met intimidaties, schijnbewegingen, opdringerige rijders en een race die letterlijk in de allerlaatste bocht werd beslist. Het kleinste foutje was beslissend, zo ondervond ook Sebastiaan Bleekemolen, die in amper tweehonderd meter van gedoodverfde winnaar in een teleurstellende derde veranderde. En toch, de oudste Bleekemolen-zoon voert nog altijd riant het klassement aan. Wie moet hem van de titel afhouden, die vorig jaar zo fraai door zijn jongere broer Jeroen werd gepakt? Het vervolg van deze strijd kunt u beleven op Circuit Zolder. Naast deze races zal de organisatie ook enkele zeer bijzondere raceauto's ten toon stellen. De organisatie van dit evenement werkt momenteel aan een bijzondere verrassing in het programma. meer informatie hierover treft u op de website. Met een bezoek aan de Stop Aids Now Race levert u een bijdrage aan de aidsprojecten van Stop Aids Now. Enige weken na de race zullen wedstrijdbeelden te zien zijn op Eurosport. Tevens zal het autosportprogramma Cars & Bikes tijdens het evenement opnames maken voor Yorin. Kaarten voor dit evenement kunt u telefonisch reserveren op nummer 0174-244048 of op de website. Die bakken zijn nie allemaal brol zenne mark. Nen porsche 993 die 1 32 5 draait en nen anderen die ook 1 33 rijdt ... Die mogen ze hier wel ff afleveren zenne. En die Viper , tjah gasten als je nie me zo'n machien kan rijden , rijd dan met nen porsche ofzo he : e pak goeikoper en rapper als wa ge nu rijdt...

yep, venijn zat in het staartje. Een mega-klapper van Hugo Charles in de 2e clio race. Rolkooi kaduuk, helm kapot.........de rijder ook niet helemaal fris.
Was toch wel zeker 5 tot 10 sec. bewusteloos........kwam bij, maar gaf geen duidelijke antwoorden...... kijken hoe dat afloopt
