LMES 1000 KM Nürburgring
De eerste tijden van kwalificatie 1 sijpelen binnen van de doorweekte Nürburgring.

1: Audi UK 1:47.009
2: Audi Team Goh 1:48.404
3: Audi UK 1:48.891

12: Ferrari 575 GTC Hezemans Mike , Deletraz Jean Denis 1:59.437 (2e in klasse)
16: Chrysler Viper -GTS-R Kumpen Anthony, Halliday David, Besson Bruno 2:01.876 (3e in klasse)
19: Pilbeam - Nissan Leroch Jean Francois, Haesebrouck Philippe, Hahn Frank 2:03.639
23: Ferrari 575 GTC Biagi Thomas, Sullivan Danny, Bosch John 2:05.157
28: Porsche GT3-RS Khan Ian, Heydens Michel 2:07.355
39: Porsche GT3-RS Ickx Vanina , Daniels Paul, Rabinau Thierry 2:39.695

Er zijn maar 40 deelnemers Een of andere support race komt met 60 kisten op de baan

Lijkt een topweekend te worden, mijn favoriet die een 16e tijd neerzet. Gaat dit weekend trouwens een weekend worden met veel filmrollekes (fototoestel ). Maar zijn hier nog mensen die dit weekend afzakken naar de Ring ? Ik blijf in een leuk hotel slapen (kijk hier maar eens, dan snap je waarom )

Wow, schock voor Audi...............sinds 5 jaar staan ze niet op pole voor een wedstrijd waar de R8 aan deelneemt. Tijdens de tweede kwalificatiesessie heeft de DBA 03S - ZYTEK de pole gepakt

vorige week stond in Mid-Ohio ook geen Audi R8 op pole, hoor. toen was het de Dyson MG...

Als ze aan dit tempo blijven rijden dan gaan we de 1000 km niet halen. Het zal ongeveer de 985 km van de Nürburgring worden Het is of 1000 km of maximaal 6 uur..........het zal dus 6 uur worden.

Enkele Belgen zullen de 1000 km ook niet halen, de Viper van Force One Racing (o.a Kumpen) staat helemaal onderaan de lijst. Een plekje hoger staat de Pilbeam van Hahn........gezien het grote aantal ronden achterstand lijken me die in de pits te staan of ergens langs de baan.

Kumpen had beter zijn Belcar-Viper ingeschreven...

In ALMS zijn dit jaar en vorig jaar de Dyson machines wel eens vanop pole gestart.

Het is ondertussen al wel duidelijk dat er nu wel wagens bestaan die sneller dan de Audi R8 zijn in 1 rondje. Over een volledige race echter niet door combinatie van extreme betrouwbaarheid en lager verbruik dankzij FSI.

Team Goh heeft voor de eerste keer last gehad van de nieuwe reglementering.

Ophanging achteraan was beschadigd (voor aanrijding met GT wagen) en ze mochten de achterkant niet in zijn geheel vervangen (nieuwe regels). Hierdoor hebben ze 10 rondjes achterstand opgelopen op de winnende Audi. Vroeger hadden ze slechts 3 minuutjes verloren.

Yep, 'k heb gisteren gestaan bij 2 Porsche 917's en een Lola T70. Echt prachtig om die oude machines te zien racen.

Als Minassian niet de fout had gemaakt in de eerste bocht waardoor hij uit het grind moet getrokken worden door een tractor dan had hij wel degelijk kunnen winnen !

Bwa, Kaffer heeft met de winnende Audi ook een bezoekje gedaan aan de grindbak. Gevolg hiervan was een trage lekke band, waardoor ze ongeveer een rondje verloren hebben.

Was dit niet gebeurd, dan hadden Kaffer/McNish misschien een ronde voorsprong gehad op de tweede Audi ... Had dit gebeurd en was dat gebeurd, daar ben je niks mee. Had de DBA-Zytek eerst gelegen, dan hadden de Audis misschien nog een stuk harder gepusht ... Wie zal het weten.
