Date of Birth: 16th August 1980. Nationality: Australian. Marital Status: Single. Height / Weight: 183 cm / 71 kg. Hobbies: Motorsport, Fitness training, snooker & skiing. Character: Extraordinary intelligent, well motivated & ambitious. Team Astromega are please to announce the signing of their second driver, Rob Nguyen. 21-year old Rob had only sat in a racing car for the first time in November 2000, to begin his Formula training at Penker Racing in Austria. 2001 saw him begin his first year of competing in the Formula Volkswagen German Championship with Team Penker Racing where he finished the season 5th in the championship. Rob completed a successful 3-day test with Team Astromega in Valencia last month showing his true potential as a single seat racing driver and came across with a mature approach and understanding of the new Lola B2/50. F3000 < twenty cars on the grid >
With the withdrawing of Prostar, KTR and Dams the International Fia F3000 Championship only counts ten team to compete. That means that there are only twenty cars on the grid . With some other teams that are strugling to raise enough budget the question is how many cars there will start at the first grand prix at Interlagos ( Brazil ).

Dit begint meer en meer op de f1 te lijken maar op sportief gebied uiteraard niet. Misschien zouden ze beter Euro F3000 toelaten bij de races. MAW oude chassis toelaten in een B-klasse.

Bij de Euro F3000 zou er voor 2002 sprake zijn van pre-kwalificaties. Meer dan 30 inschrijvingen..........
Als het FIA F3000 niet vlug een goede promotor krijgt, dan is het sluiten. Als je om de twee weken op een evenement rijdt met +/- 100.000 toeschouwers en de mogelijkheid om tv-miljoen publiek te bereiken, dan gaat er volgens mij op dit moment iets grondig fout. Want waar zijn F1/F3000 relaties van twee jaar terug?
