Het is de Murcielago. Enne die wagen zou dit jaar al de laatste 2 races van het FIA GT kampioenschap meerijden.
Net zoals de Ferrari Maranello 575. De Gallardo komt later en zal in N-GT uitkomen.

wat! 2 lambo's in 2004? En reiter ging ze ontwikkelen toch? met kox en nog 1. euhm die tsjech ofzow. met cocacola... euhm shit, kan er echt nie op komen. Gezien de geschiedenis met de vorige reiter lambo verwacht ik er niet echt veel van. Tenzij ze gaan luisteren naar kox. die was toen op de, ik geloof, nurburgring gewoon errug snel!! En dat kwam toen omdat ze naar hem luisterde. (heb ik ook maar gehoord hoor.)
Ik wist niet dat er 2 lambo's waren.

The announcement doesn’t carry a whole lot of new information, but the announcement is a significant event in itself: confirmation that the Murciélago R-GT will be available to customers next year, ready to race in the FIA GT Championship (GT Class) and according to ACO GTS regulations – and the first example should race in the final two rounds of this year’s FIA GT Championship.
Reiter Engineering is jointly developing the car with Lamborghini parent company Audi’s sports division. Initial testing will be at the hands of Oliver Gavin and Peter Kox, who will race the car at Estoril (but not at Monza - they'll be racing against each other at the Petit Le Mans). “I have known Hans [Reiter] for many years; he was my engineer when I drove in touring cars with BMW," explained Peter Kox. "Ollie and I have also driven together at Estoril before, in 2001 in a Lamborghini Diablo GT, so it will be fun to team up again for this one-off occasion rather than being against each other as we are in America.” The R-GT will be powered by the Lamborghini 6 litre V12 engine, while the drive train will be converted from the Murciélago permanent 4WD to RWD, as per the FIA / ACO regulations, and will use a sequential gearbox. The total weight is expected to be on the (GTS) class minimum 1100 kg. The R-GT will be supported by the Lamborghini Customer Sports Programme, and will be available for sale at “less than 500,000 Euros.” This is the first of the new generation GT / GTS cars.
