1000 km Le Mans 09-11-03
Volgens mij heb ik daar al een thread gezien van op depaddock.........zoja svp samenvoegen. Zoniet dan gaat ie zijn eigen leven volgen

De 1000 km van Spa zijn dus een vette tegenvaller qua proto's..........veel gehoorde reden bij de afwezigen: Resources (lees ordinair geld) sparen voor de race in November. Is ook wel aantrekkelijk te noemen, goed resultaat daar kan een automatisch toegangsticket opleveren voor de 24 uur van Le Mans.

Gerucht uit het welbekende engelse blaadje, Selleslagh zou willen deelnemen met zijn Corvette..........hebben ze de intentie voor Le Mans 2004?

Wat betreft Le Mans 2004, als de geruchten waarheid worden dat Audi weer bezig is met een proto dan vergaat mij de zin om de reis in 2004 te ondernemen

wat heeft de 1000 km van Le Mans te maken met de 1000 km van Spa

Dacht al dat er thread over de 1000 km van Le Mans, welke mod is er overijverig bezig?

With the rules being ratified by the French Federation and 1st September 2003 being the opening date for entries, the first and only edition of the « Le Mans 1 000 km » has been launched.

Created by the Automobile Club de l'Ouest to promote the 2004 launching of the « Le Mans Endurance Series », this race, which will be a qualifying race for the 2004 « 24 Heures du Mans », (12 places at stake for a minimum of 36 entries), will be run on the Bugatti circuit (4,180 kms).

« Le Mans 1 000 km » will be open to "Prototype" and "GT" which meet with the A.C.O.'s 2003 specifications and which also conform with the new Prototype rules drawn up together with the FIA.

50 cars will take part in the practice sessions and in the race which will be contested over 3 days :
Friday 7th November : scrutineering and administrative checks.
Saturday 8th November : free practice and qualifying practice sessions. Please note that for the Prototypes and GTs that the qualifying sessions will be run separately just as in the ALMS races.
Sunday 9th November : Warm up at 9.30 a.m. and at 12 noon the race will begin with a flying start for 240 laps of the Bugatti circuit.

Entries are open from 1st September 2003 to midnight, 30th September 2003. Should the A.C.O. receive over 50 entry requests, the organiser would call together a selection committee to designate the competitors invited to the « Le Mans 1 000 km ».

Both the supplementary regulations of the race and information concerning tickets are available on the A.C.O. official website : www.lemans.org

Lastly, as from Monday 3rd November and until Thursday 6th November, the Bugatti circuit will be reserved for private practice sessions for those competitors entered in the race.

Already, from what we have heard from the competitors, we are anticipating a strong participation in the « Le Mans 1 000 km ».

Spijtig van de datum natuurlijk.
Hadden ze nu zo slim geweest om dat niet te lmaten samenvallen met de Touring Cup, dan hadden ze nog wat publiek gehad.
Lijkt me spijtig, zo een mooie race en alle publiek zit in zolder

der zal wel genoeg volk zitten ze, touring cup is alleen intressant voor de belgische autosport-fan, die 1000km van le Mans zal een ietsje internationaler publiek aantrekken

De Paddock is toch een internationaal publiek, je vindt paddockers op omlopen in Vlaanderen, Wallonië, Duitsland, Frankrijk, USA, Egypte, UK, Italië, ja zelfs in Nederland (maar alleen als het echt moet )

En ik maar denken dat de TC een wereldkampioenschap is.

Nou gewoon naar de Race Promotion op zaterdag en zondag met het vliegtuig naar Le Mans. Tis allemaal zo simpel

De testsessie zijn goed onderweg op het Bugatti circuit. Op
lemans.org zijn de nodige foto's terug te vinden van afgelopen woens- en donderdag.

Tijden? nog niks van gevonden...........
