LMES & Classic Endurance @ 1000 Km van Spa
Op race-rally.be staan de voorlopige deelnemerslijsten van de LMES en de Classic Endurance series. Voor beide series mogen we het grootste deelnemersveld van het seizoen verwachten. Bij de Classics zitten toch wel enkele fraaie museum stukken ertussen. Ickx zou van start gaan in Ferrari 312 PB........maar nu kan ik uit die lijst niet afleiden gaat om de J of de V qua voornaam

We mogen in ieder geval een mooi deelnemersveld verwachten. Er moeten er nog wel wat bevestigen maar het ziet er toch al mooi uit. De Zytek met oa Magnussen is dat die zwarte? Zou het kunnen dat we 4 Zyteks aan de start krijgen als Chrys Dyson zin heeft of zijn er maar 3?

Creation: 03S
Jota: 04S
Zytek Engineering: 04S

Prachtige proto, ik vind hem zelf knapper als de Audi. Denk wel dat Spa hen moet liggen.

Ik ben ook een superfan van de Zytek, maar het zullen er toch 3 zijn denk ik. Die Denen doen dit jaar spijtig genoeg niet meer mee met hun 03S.
note: Creation Zytek is ouder dan de Jota, maar rijdt beter. (piloten?)

Die van Creation is een DBA4 3S, wat eigenlijk een verbetering van het Reynard 02S chassis. Hierin hangt de Zytek motor.

Zytek heeft de rechten van dit DBA chassis overgekocht. Het Zytek 04S is dus een evolutie van dat chassis. Met deze wagen rijden zowel het officiele Zytek team als Jota.

Conclusie: motor zelfde, lichtjes verbeterd chassis.

Conclusie 2: Mulsanne's Corner rulet echt wel als je info zoekt over LM prototypes; alle info over Zytek staat hier


Zytek is inderdaad een prachtige prototype en in de toekomst een geduchte concurrent voor de Audi R8 (tot Audi met iets nieuw komt natuurlijk )

Alleen de betrouwbaarheid is nog een zwak punt van de Zytek.

De LMES race zal een gedenkwaardige worden, Danny Sullivan zal na deze race de helm niet meer opzetten. Afscheid in een Ferrari 575 GTC............

Zelf zal ik het boek "Flat Out, Flat Broke" meenemen naar Spa, eens kijken of het mij lukt om een handtekening te krijgen van de schrijver. Wie is dat dan wel? The Stig aka Perry McCarthy, hij zal van start gaan in een Saleen voor Graham Nash Motorsport.

Volgens de laatste lijst op infocourse.org mogen we met recht spreken van een Petit Le Mans, er staan nog wel wat vraagtekens hier en daar...........neemt niet weg dat we heel wat schoons voorbij zien komen.
