 Ik ben nu ook geen echte Verstappenfan, maar die kerel heeft nu ook nie bepaald alle geluk in de F1wereld. Bij Benetton had hij de pech te debuteren met Schumacher als teammaat, Simtek was een regelrechte flop, Arrows in '96 was okay (maar met Rosset als ploegmaat kan je niks anders), Tyrell was miserabel, het half jaar Stewart had hij pech omdat het team helemaal rond Barrichello was opgebouwd, de Honda-test draaide na de dood van Posthletwaite op niks uit, de test in de Jordan stelde niets voor omdat Damon het nog niet opgaf en de Arrows in 2000 en 2001 was wel snel, maar had nogal een..euh...kleine tank Eerder dus een kwestie van 'verkeerde team op het verkeerde moment' denk ik. Natuurlijk heeft hij er zelf ook wel wat aan te danken, maar z'n F1carrière heeft het hem toch niet makkelijk gemaakt. En als ik aan Verstappen denk, denk ik enkel aan die resem hollanders naast de baan die hun 'kampioen' de hemel inprijzen. Of wat dacht je van titels in Formule1, het snelste blad van België (!): Canada 2000: Verstappen droogt Schumacher af (!) Mocht Saelens ooit in die Minardi stappen, ga ik wel voor hem supporteren, maar je moet realistisch blijven. Een arrows of een minardi is geen bolide waarmee je jezelf in de schijnwerpers rijdt, tenzij je je weer laat dubbelen.

datgene alonso liet zien in een minardi is voor mij veel hoger in te schatten, dan wat verstappe liet zien.
want minardi was dit jaar het slechtste team, maar had een van de betere piloten. Damon hill reed ook in een rot-arrows, en won ei zo na hongarije in '97 (denk dat et 97 was) Dusja, ik zal nooit beweren dat verstappe een slechte coureur is, maar hij heeft in een stewart nooit laten zien wat een barichello liet zien, in een arrows nooit wat hill heeft laten zien, of zelfs wat herbert in een beneton heeft laten zien.

Tja weliswaar hollander, maar geen verstappenfan........
Maar helemaal weg is hij nog niet. Wat dacht je van minardi..............Stoddart in ''97 bij Tyrrell....onder de indruk van Verstappen. Asiatech in 2001 onder de indruk van Verstappen...........dat maakt samen voor 2002: Minardi + Asiatech + Verstappen

Maar of dat ook werkelijkheid wordt? Er zit bakken geld bij die Maleisier en hun toekomstige 2de piloot zal ook de nodge centjes moeten meebrengen.
