Belgisch meisje sterft als gevolg van kartingongeluk.
Een zeer spijtige zaak. Een 12-jarig Belgisch meisje is bezweken aan de verwondingen die ze afgelopen dinsdag had opgelopen bij een kartingongeluk tijdens een vakantie op Cyprus. Volgens haar vader zou ze nog tegen hem gezegd hebben dat de stuur blokkeerde. Er is nu natuurlijk een hele discussie over de veiligheid op de kartingbanen in Cyprus.

Valentine Weekers
Niet dat ik karting van dichtbij volg, maar mijn oog viel op deze thread.
Bij ons op het werk sloeg dit nieuws in als een bom, omdat de moeder van Valentine, Patricia, een ex-collega is van vele van mijn huidige collega's. Enkele van m'n collega's onderhouden trouwens nog steeds contacten met de familie Weekers. Haar man, Daniel Weekers, is tevens de topman van betaalzender BeTv (het vroegere Franstalige Canal+) en voorzitter van DefiCom (beursgenoteerd). Een tragisch voorval ... Regards, 555
