Vraagje aan de Marshalls.
Kan er mij is iemand uitleggen waarom er alleen met poederblussers geblust word en bijv. niet met CO2 blussers of iets dergelijks?
Wie beslist er of er geblust moet worden of niet?

Zover ik weet zyn er maar 2 soorten blusapparaten in Zolder. Poeder- & Waterblussers. Wanneer wij een (beginnend) brand(je) zien blussen wij onmiddellijk. Hiervoor word geen toestemming gevraagd.

De Audi TT zat helemaal onder het bluspoeder. Is een van de marshals misschien een beetje te enthousiast geweest bij het uitoefenen van zijn taak?

Ze hebben toch 3 nieuwe brandblussers moeten brengen naar die baanposten.

Heb de TT wel zien binnenkomen op de truck, maar heb hier nog nergens beelden gezien van de crash of het brandje.

Heeft er niemand beelden daarvan. Moet toch wel effe gebrand hebben te oordelen naar het blusmateriaal.

beelden zijn te zien op Pitstop.tv ... die ging hard in de muur .. damn...

Het zag er veel erger uit dan het is, de impact was maar 4 G.
Klein bier vergeleken met wat ik in het verleden al gezien heb. En van brand zijn er totaal geen sporen te zien.

Ik stond er vlakbij, heb wel een vlam gezien en was zeer snel weer geblust. In totaal maximum 10 seconden.

De schade valt al bij al nog mee. Dus ze zullen er terug staan tegen de volgende race.

Blussen met co2 is niet mogelijk als de piloot nog in het voertuig zit. Dan moeten de marshalls eerst kijken of er nog iemand in zit voor ze kunnen beslissen welke blusser ze nemen.
CO2 is natuurlijk veel properder na de brand. Geen poeder, en dat kruipt overal in. Echt plezant kuiswerkje.
