Dus als ik ff goed oplet staan er binnenkort 4 C5R's en 2 C6R's binnen de Belgische grenzen? Mwoah........het begint zowat het VW Golfje van de circuits te worden

Daarnaast schijnt er nog wat naar het Gewerbepark rondom de Nürburgring te gaan. Op een heel klein gebiedje van Europa staan er zometeen 5,6,7 of 8 van die brute machines. Als liefhebber komen we niks te kort

Nog een leuk detail: de C5-R van PSI is een ouder chassis maar de wagen wordt voorzien van de laatste evoluties...

Er wordt gezegd dat het de C5-R van Pacific Coast is. Dit is dan geen ouder chassis. (tenzij er nu nog iets is veranderd)

Als het allemaal waar is wat er hier getikt wordt, zou ik misschien wel weer eens wat vaker naast een circuit kunnen staan volgend jaar.

Voor iets dat het geluid van een F4U Corsair sterk benaderd wil ik altijd wel eens een uitzondering maken...

De C5R van Pacific Coast was de 004 of 005. Het zou dus gaan om een van de eerste C5R's uit 2001. Die van SRT (007) en GLPK (011) zijn dus jonger. Vorig jaar was er toch ergens te lezen dat de 'Vette van SRT uit 2001 niet helemaal geschikt was om hem om te bouwen naar 2004-spec zoals die van GLPK. Benieuwd in hoeverre ze die C5R van PSI dan weten op te waarderen......

Ah, dan heeft iemand mij ergens wijsgemaakt dat die van Pacific Coast een 2003 spec was.

Om aan speculaties en gissingen een einde te maken, hier een stuk daterend van januari '05 over de PCM Corvette (bron: dailysportscar.com). Ik vertaal het niet, jullie Engels zal wel op niveau zijn, vermoed ik:

"It's chassis 06, which ran in early 2003, but fully updated to '04 spec. Aside from the chassis, the only original part is the front aero. We have new drivetrain, motor, shocks, uprights... Pratt & Miller couldn't fit the Xtrac gearbox into this chassis, so we've got the Hewland sequential. And the tires - I can't say enough about the tires..."

Misschien zou een abo voor sommigen toch verrijkend zijn :-)

Omdat PSI nu in Franse handen is kan ik me voorstellen dat hun interesse verschuift naar het Franse GT kampioenschap.

ik denk dat PSI vooral Europees gaat rijden.
wat volgens mij normaal is.
We moeten eerlijk zijn het niveau van het Frans gt kampioenschap ligt stukken hoger dan de Belcar.
Ook Europees, de mannen van Gordon hebben dit ingezien en rijden LMES.
