Volgens Dailysportscar heeft Audi dat nog niet met zoveel woorden gezegd, maar zijn wel alleen Sebring en Le Mans bevestigd. Buiten dat dat heel jammer zou zijn vraag ik me eigenlijk af of Audi "alleen" Sebring zou doen als competitieve test vóór Le Mans, nu ze tegenover Peugeot staan met een nieuwe auto.

Dat zijn de testdagen voor de Le Mans Series op Paul Ricard.

Update ivm de LM P1:

De Charouz Lola B08/60 is verkocht aan het Zwitserse Speedy Racing Team Sebah, er zal ondersteuning zijn van Aston Martin zelf, maar niet in dezelfde mate als bij het Charouz team.

Het Franse Team Signature (één van de beste teams uit de Formule 3 Euroseries) zal volgend jaar een Courage-Oreca LC70 inzetten met Judd Motor.

Andere mogelijke deelnemer: Nigel Mansell, denkt erover om samen met zijn zonen (Greg en Leo) het LMS kampioenschap te doen, mogelijk met een Zytek.

Als laatste willen we vermelden dat Bertrand Baguette op 4 december gaat testen bij Pescarolo Sport.

Een van die twee zonen zou actief blijven in de single seaters (World Series by Renault 3.5) en niet richting endurance gaan.

Ik moet dat van Mansell nog zien. Die heeft met z'n zonen al vaker getest zonder dat daar iets uitgekomen is.

Volgens Radio Le Mans maakt Jaguar op de Detroit Autoshow (januari) hun deelname aan het ALMS (GT2 klasse) bekend.

Nu wordt Rubens Barrichelo gelinkt met Gil De Ferran voor de 12h van Sebring. Volgens bepaalde mensen op ten-tenths zou het gaan om een Ferrari maar aangezien Gil De Ferran zelf met Acura reed lijkt en gezien de huidige werkgever van Barri lijkt mij dat een realistischer scenario.

Op Radio Le Mans was een interview te horen met Gil de Ferran. Uit dat interview maak ik op dat, als Barrichello geen stoeltje in F1 heeft, dat hij Sebring gaat doen in de De Ferran Acura. De 2 Brazilianen zijn vrienden van elkaar, ze kennen elkaar ook professioneel van hun tijd bij Honda F1 team. Daarnaast is Acura natuurlijk onderdeel van Honda, en Japanners zijn loyaal.

Het is nu officieel geen audi in LMS, ALSM moet nog bekeken worden

Audi gaat alleen deelnemen aan Sebring, rest van het ALMS seizoen slaat men over...

Een nieuwe LMP1 ontwikkelen om daar dan slechts 2 races mee te betwisten, hoogst bedenkelijk
Veel toppers blijven er dan ook niet meer over in het ALMS: géén Audi, géén Penske.......

Het laatste slechte nieuws hebben we nog niet gehad vrees ik.

En plots trekt Honda de stekker uit het F1 team... Wist de Ferran iets meer?

Dat heeft Bentley toch ook gedaan in 2003.

Joest heeft de nodige ervaring. En betrouwbaarheid van de wagen kan tijdens prive testen op punt gesteld worden.

En sluit deelname van 1 (of meerdere) Audi('s) door privateers (Champion vermoedelijk) niet uit. Maar ik geef toe: de kans is klein...
