Mazda Rx-7 Group B

First of all-Hello to everyone!

My name is Vitan and i am a modeller from Bulgaria.
i like your forum and visit it quite often, but never dared to post a thread here.
i hope the fact i will write in Egnlish is not a big problem...
I would like to show you my project. This is Mazda Rx-7 Group B, which is kind of less known than the Lancia, Audi, Peugeot, Metro etc. But it was cool car and conquered 3-rd place at Rally Acropolis in 1985. Not that bad for a RWD car. Besides, this has never been made in 1/24 scale.
So, i decided to produce a multimedia resin kit.. It is at the very initial and rough stage, but the work goes in the right direction i think. I use Tamiya body which i casted with the idea to save the original model, combined with cahssis and engine from an old Monogram kit.

I used Milliput to make the fenders. Not much to see though and it is still very rough and thick, but this is just the beggining

I hope you will like it

Welcome here.

This is a car that many rallybuilders like to build, including myself. But there is no kit or transkit to build it, but you have the solution, just scratch the car with a streetversion.
The beginning looks very good and I already can see a gr.B in the car. So great work. Keep it going.

Grts, Guido

Hi, thanks a lot for your comment. Yes, there is not kit or transkit. This is why i decided to produce a full multimedia resin kit with photoetched parts etc. So, soon it will be available to everyone

Hello with some updates After the putty for the fenders was sanded quite a lot i still didn't like the shape because of the thick look. So, i decided to take drastic measures and make them in a , more similar to the real car rebuilding The fenders were removed and new, wider ones, were fitted at their place Those i took from the second casted body. Since it is resin i supposed they might be shaped well in a hot water. I took the risk and it worked quite well Of course, it is still rough, but with the next step it will have the right finish. Now, already the putty will serve me much better and i will use it with joy

Hi, it is a 3d model, created by my friend through a 3D software. Now the wheels will be sent to a 3d printer which will create the physical model. i will have them in a two weeks and will show them to you.
