Pan American Formula Renault Championship
 Er was al maanden sprake van, en blijkbaar gaat dan toch heel het project van grond (  weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer een éénzitter serie er bij....  )Het gaat hem dus ook een volledig Amerikaans kampioenschap dat men gaat rijden op Noord- en Zuid Amerikaanse bodem. De hoofd serie zal dus de "PanAm Formula V6" zijn (met de oude FRV6 wagens), verder zullen er ook de "PanAm Formula Renault 2000" rijden tijdens deze Amerikaanse Renault weekends. De kalender is als volgt: 7-19 June Mosport Toronto, Canada 1-3 July Barber Birmingham, AL 5-7 Aug Trois Rivieres Canada 16-18 Sept Mexico City Mexico 7-9 Oct San Jose Costa Rica ..-.. Oct Curitiba Brazil ..-.. Oct Buenos Aires Argentina ..-.. Nov Cordoba Argen Het seizoen start daar wel opmerkelijk laat! Er is ook al een officielle site online: www.panamv6.com Ik ben alvast benieuwd of ze dit kampioenschap goed gaan kunnen vullen met wat kwantiteit maar ook kwaliteit qua teams en piloten.

Ze beginnen dan wel laat maar gaan dan ook langer door en die reden is vrij simpel. De laatste races vinden plaats op het zuidelijk halfrond........het is daar dan lente / zomer  Denk niet dat die klasse een bedreiging is voor enige Europese klasse dan ook. Eigenlijk, eindelijk weer eens een klasse erbij op de Amerikaanse continenten........in de afgelopen jaren zijn er daar heel wat verdwenen, vooral in het wat hogere marksegment.
