Denk dat ze weinig keuze hebben. De conventionele modellen (3-deurs/5-deurs/4-deurs sedan/station) zijn steeds meer aan het vervagen door al die crossovers. Kijk alleen al naar de nieuwe Seat Toledo, da's typisch zo'n voorbeeld hiervan.

De Ferrari 575gtc wordt niet meer verder ontwikkeld : wat heeft dat er nu mee te maken zal je zeggen ? Wel de 575gtc is een N-technology produkt dus daar komt tijd en mankracht vrij voor : Punto S 2000 rally of toch meer 147's wtcc of zit er toch waarheid achter de Seat rumors (ik vermoed dat dit meer een pressiemiddel van N-technology naar Fiat-Auto is) .
Kalbfell is op een zijspoor geplaatst de dag dat de Fiat-top met N-technology aan tafel zou gaan zitten... Kalbfell is degene die de 159 niet wou ontwikkelen voor de racerij niet dat ik nu verwacht dat ze van de 147 gaan afstappen om 2008 op 149 verder te gaan misschien, maar misschien is Baravalle Autosportbudgetgezinder ? Hoop doet leven...

Op 10/10's gaan geruchten dat de nieuwe baas van Fiat/Alfa de besprekingen met N-Technology heeft hervat over het ontwikkelen van een S2000 Alfa 159.

Dat zou goed nieuws zijn, maar veel tijd hebben ze niet meer om de wagen klaar te krijgen tegen volgend jaar.

Dat zegt niet alles. Het Brilliance project is ook officieel aangekondigd op deze officiele WTCC website. Ben toch benieuwd naar de performance van de Lada.

Zou een half mirakel zijn en vraag is of de lange wielbasis v.d. 159 niet tè lang is . Logischer zou zijn idd. naar 147 te switchen en binnen 2 jaar naar diens opvolger 149 (op een verkort 159 chassis/wielbasis) temeer daar hatchbacks nu 10kg gewichtsvoordeel krijgen .
Ik zou het wel toejuichen anders zo'n 159 met nog bredere schouders...

De langere wielbasis zal geen probleem zijn:
Alfa 156 --> 2610 mm
Alfa 159 --> 2700 mm
BMW 320i --> 2742 mm

Op autosport.com staat te lezen:
"Alfa Romeo are poised to give the green-light to using their new 159 in the World Touring Car Championship next season, according to a report in this week's Autosport."

de nieuwe baas Tomagnini is er wel van overtuigd dat autosport nodig is voor de marketing van het merk Alfa. Ze gaan wel met de kaasschaaf (Nederlandse uitvinding ) over het autosport-programma

Van 4 naar 2 wagens, exit voor Thompson en Tarquini. Monica Sipz mag ook gaan soliciteren voor een baantje als telefoniste N-Technology kan het waarschijnlijk schudden, de afdeling Maserati Corse mag de 159 inzetten. Het seizoen 2006 beginnen ze met de 156 en als de 159 in de zomer van 2006 de verkoop ingaat gaan ze met 159 verder.

Wat betreft Lada, in 2006 zien we die enkele geselecteerde wedstrijden terug. Eerst nog met de 21106 en in 2007 met de Priora
