vorige week is er in Diepenbeek een 24 uurs slotrace gehouden maar die telt niet mee zeker ?

Met een beetje geluk zien we in 2005 de wederopstanding van een Britse 24 uur..........in de geest van de Willhire 24 hours. De Britcar is van plan om een 24-uurs race te houden op Silverstone.

M.b.t. die Britse 2CV 24 uur, daar zien de 2CV'tjes nog redelijk standaard uit.......de Belgische 2CV''tjes zijn meer proto's. Enige tijd was er een documentaire over deze Britse 24 uur in Topgear, een van de presentatoren was deelnemer aan deze race.

Je haalt volgens mij nu 2 dingen door elkaar. De 24h van Bathurst (Procar organisatie) gaat inderdaad niet door. Deze race is een mengelmoes van GT's en toerwagens. De Procar organisatie zit in grote (financiele) problemen.

Daarnaast heb je nog het V8 Supercars (Avesco organisatie) kampioenschap dat op dit moment erg populair is. Deze serie is te vergelijken met het DTM en heeft o.a. een 1000 km (of mijl?) race op Bathurst.

Procar/Bathurst hebben nu een subsidie gekregen voor de 24H race (kennelijk zag de regering de waarde van het evenement in) maar deze kwam te laat voor de race zoals hij gepland was in dit seizoen. Volgend jaar is er wel weer een 24H van Bathurst.

Er is elk jaar een 24u race voor grasmaaiers in england : waar anders eigenlijk.
er is ook in frankrijk een 24u tout terrain
in chamonix is er nog de 24u ice racen : al is dat geen echte : het zijn een 8 tal wedstrijden binnen de 24U

Thunderhill is een crimineel circuit. Ik heb vorig jaar nog het geluk gehad om daar een beetje te gaan spelen met een Caterham ... WOW
