De cupraces brengen direct geld op door de verkoop van deze wagens. Om een jaar DTM of WTCC te rijden moet je over serieuze budgetten beschikken.

Mijn rekening zou ook snel gemaakt zijn als ik kan geassocieerd worden met racen en dus beschouwd word als een sportieve autoconstructeur en daarbovenop door het project zelf geld kan binnenhalen.
Daar heb je natuurlijk een punt.

Zolder zal als enige circuit binnen de Benelux de World Series by Renault over de vloer krijgen. Volgens turbomagazine zal het feestje in Zandvoort niet doorgaan.............klein probleempje met geluid

Wat krijgen we zelf te zien in Zolder? World Serie V6, Megane Trophy, Eurocup FRenault 2000, Belgisch FRenault 1600, Benelux Clio's............en een F1 demo!

Via andere bronnen heb ik vernomen dat er ook nog een concert zou plaatsvinden.

Van mij mogen ze alvast langskomen ! Gaat er dan tijdens elke WS by Renault meeting in 2005 een (Renault) F1 demo zijn?

Concert en F1 demo.........dat is wel de bedoeling. Lees dit oude artikel maar eens. Ze hebben in ieder geval de intentie bij Renault om dit te gaan organiseren.

M.b.t. de Megane Throphy, volgens het tam-tam circuit schijnt de belangstelling tegen te vallen voor deze nieuwe klasse. De eerste advertenties van "Drives Available" heb ik al gezien in de Autosport

Ja maar dat oude artikel staat op een Nederlandse site. Dat zijn die sites die ons ook altijd doen geloven dat er een nederlander F1 gaat rijden Maar waar gaan ze dat concert dan weer doen want ze hebben weer een lekker vol programma= drukke paddock= geen plaats meer.

F1 is uit, wellicht rijden er twee mee in de Champcars. De tweede week van december kon weleens nieuws opleveren

M.b.t. het concert, Verschraegen heeft dat ook medegedeeld in een intervieuw op TV Limburg. Dat zal nog wel online terug te vinden zijn. Trouwens plaats zat op paddock 6 Het concept "autosport en ietsje meer" werkt uitstekend, weleens gekeken naar de bezoekersaantallen van de Days of Thunder in Rockingham (UK)?

Mja Rockingham draait wel maar het valt dan nog te bezien wie ze boeken he. Ik denk niet dat Dana Winner veel volk zou trekken

Wat de Ranault Megane Throphy betreft, is het volgens mij ook serieus onzeker aan het worden.

Er is bitter weinig intresse van teams en piloten, met uiteraard als hoofdoorzaak dat een jaarbudget toch wel meer dan hoog genoeg is...

Ik heb ook de kleine advertentie zien staan in autosport waarin men nog piloten zoekt voor de Megane Throphy. Als men al op die manier moet gaan "scharrelen" dat gaan het rijdersniveau ook wel dalen.

Men zou beter (voor de eerste seizoen(en)) de budgetten laten dalen voor deze serie, en dan indien nodig ook het prijzengeld doen dalen (wat die zijn dan weer giga hoog)...

Onderstaande staat op het Ten-tenths forum en zegt denk ik genoeg (vooral die laatste zin):

Difficult to get non-Renault sponsors involved...
As a clue, I could race in LMP2 in LMES and Le Mans, or in the FIA GT's or even something interesting in the WTCC for less than Renaults predicted running budget.....

En weten dat wij als eerste vragende partij waren om er zo eentje te kopen maar niet mochten omwille van het feit dat ze enkel mochten gebruikt worden voor de Cup.

Zo zie je maar, eerst den boel opblazen en er dan mee blijven zitten, ze hadden ons beter enen verkocht, dan hadden we op zijn minst iets om Belcar of BTCS mee te rijden.
