geen 50 F550's maar wel 25 tot 40 F360 racers

Paar weken terug was er een topic waarin melding werd gemaakt dat prodrive + ferrari zo'n 50 F550 GT2 racers wilde maken voor klanten...........bleek dus niet waar te zijn, maar niet helemaal.

Blijkt nu, het zou gaan om 25 tot 40 F360 die gebouwd zouden worden de nieuw opgerichte race-divisie binnen Ferrari. Wel in samenwerking met Michelotto. het zou gaan om een verbeterde n-GT versie. Beschikbaar in FIA of Le Mans Spec.

Prijs 240.000 britpound.

The 360GT will be fitted with a 3586 cc V8 engine, capable of putting out around 430 horsepower. The 360GT thus joins the range, alongside the 360 Modena Challenge, which has been so successful over the past few years and which continues in production for those wishing to compete in the Ferrari challenge. In 2002, around 180 owners will take part in this series on race tracks around the globe. A model based on the Challenge car won the 2001 FIA N-GT Championship.

The 360GT, developed by the Corse Clienti department, will be sold through the Ferrari dealer network.

FIA N-GT Version
Engine
Ferrari F 131, 8cylinders 90 degreeV; 4 overhead camshaft,5 valves per cylinder, variable inlet geometry. Engine block and heads in alluminium. Capacity: 3586.2 cc. Bore: 85 mm Stroke: 79 mm Max power: around 430 HP at 8500 rpm with 2 30,8 mm diameter restrictors. Max torque: 38,5 kg/m at 5000 rpm. Fuel: Eurosuper 102 RON min, 88 MON min. Bosch electronic engine management
Gearbox
Ferrari type F131,longitudinal, 6 speed+ reverse, with M Marelli electronic control. Ferrari gears, 5th and 6th close ratio. Valeo single disc sintered clutch. Selfblocking adjustable differential

ACO/Le Mans Version

Ik denk niet dat er iemand om en bij de 12 miljoen BEF zal betalen voor een wagen die dan misschien de Porsche GT3rs zou kunnen verslaan, die bijna de helft minder kost.

Vergeten wie er wereldkampioen is Bart?
Toch wel de Ferrari die een hele hoop van die Porsches overwonnen heeft.
