Benieuwd wat die nieuwe banden volgende jaar gaan geven. Dunlop had dit jaar iets andere banden en Audi stond plots nergens meer (in Hockenheim had Audi zware problemen met lekke banden).

BMW zal 6 wagens inzetten, vijf zullen waarschijnlijk bemand worden door rijders met een huidig BMW contract, het zesde stuur is voor een nieuw te kiezen rijder. De eerste wagen zal in juni klaar zijn.
Over deelname aan het WTCC is nog steeds geen beslissing genomen.

Er bestaat natuurlijk ook de kans, dat BMW huidige DTM rijders zal benaderen.
Met 6 BMW's hebben we toch al een mooi begin, doe daar nog 6 audi's en 6 mercedessen bij, en dan eventueel nog een aantal wagens van een 4de merk (lees opel ) en we hebben weer een mooi veld !

Maar komt er geen 4e merk dan is het startveld met 18 wagens mager.

Nu zegt Nick Heidfeld dat hij een stuur in de DTM wel ziet zitten, "samenwerken met BMW zou ideaal zijn" zegt hij (bron: Autohebdo)

Volgens de Motorsport Aktuell gaan we Alexandre Premat in ieder geval niet meer zien bij Audi, dat moet zowat de duurste fabriekscoureur van 2010 zijn geweest. De teller van zijn schades stopt pas bij € 10 miljoen!

Hij heeft wel meer kapot gereden dan wat body work...
Een voledig chassis de vernieling in jagen, je team maten eraf rijden,... het zijn dingen wat je niet zo graag op je CV hebt staan.

Augusto Farfus en Andy Priaulx gaan beide over naar de DTM, in 2011 zullen ze naast het ontwikkelen van de M3 DTM ook te zien zijn in één of anere endurance race.

Als BMW kiest voor een team buiten Bavaria/Beieren die hun moet gaan helpen met de terugkeer naar de DTM dan moet je toch wel zeer goed zijn:

Is toch een logische stap?

En als de Duitsers willen dat DTM echt serieus genomen wordt buiten Duitsland dan zullen er ook niet-Duitse teams en als het even kan fabrikanten aan de start moeten staan.

Geen al te goede seizoenstart voor Mattias Ekström. Tijdens een trainingskamp van Audi, brak de coureur zijn pols.
