De volgende personen zijn ook gevallen voor de charmes van DP / Grand-Am

Matteo Bobbi en Fabrizio Gollin, actief voor BMS Scuderia Italia in het FIA GT 2004...............ook zij gaan richting DP. Meneer Ratel, uw FIA GT concept begint ernstige barsten te vertonen

Edit: Porsche gaat ondersteuning bieden aan de Brumos Porsches. Een van die Fabcar chassis is onderweg naar Weissach. E.e.a. om de bole wat sneller en competitiever te maken. Bron: autosport 16-12-04

Nee, ik beleef hier echt geen plezier aan. Het is alleen een feit (weliswaar negatief) dat de tendens voor het FIA GT dalende is. Controleer maar eens het aantal inschrijvingen over de periode 2002-2005

Hmm tja, dalende. T'is maar hoe je het bekijkt

Het vertrek van BMS is een groot verlies in ieder geval. Daar staat tegenover dat de kwaliteit van het GT veld toch erg hoog was het afgelopen jaar (ook vergeleken met de voorgaande jaren), vind ik toch wel positief . N-GT was erg karig vorig seizoen, en zal dat ook komend jaar zijn naar alle waarschijnlijkheid.

Ook ik ben benieuwd hoe SR het alemaal gaat vormgeven voor de komende jaren en hoe succesvol dat zal blijken te zijn.

Inderdaad niet. Als er zich iemand de laatste jaren heeft ingezet voor de sportwagenracerij dan is het Don Panoz wel. Denk maar aan Petit Le Mans, ALMS, ELMS, LMES.

LMES is toch geen organisatie van Don Panoz?

maar ALMS is het grote slachtoffer van het succes van de DP, en da's idd spijtig

Petit LeMans = ALMS, ELMS heeft nooit echt het succes gekend wat het verdiende, en LMES is van Ratel.

Ben het wel met je eens dat Panoz een steengoeie kerel is, echt iemand met het oog op de motorsport ipv de centjes.

Don Panoz is misschien een goede kerel, ben zelf ook verzot op zijn bolides maar door steeds tegen de stroom in te varen (prototype met motor van voor enz...) heeft hij het zichzelf wel moeilijk gemaakt.
Wat ALMS betreft : wie maakte dit kampioenschap groot? De Europese teams! Nu er voor hun een alternatief is in Europa, met name de LMES gaan er steeds minder de grote verplaatsing maken.

De centjes, daar heeft Panoz nog wel genoeg van maar niet meer zoveel als voorheen. Je hebt niet alleen crashes op het circuit Dat zal ook wel een rol spelen in de dalende deelnemersaantallen. De eerste jaren van de ALMS waren verdomd goed te noemen op het gebied van Proto's. BMW, Audi, Caddilac, Panoz en nog een hele roedel Privateers. Wellicht ietwat te laat opgemerkt dat "Racen" goedkoper moet worden.

Terug naar de DP's...............worden de wagens niet alleen mooier, ook de kleurenschema's gaan de goede kant op. Een nieuw team voor 2005 met een vertrouwd kleurenschema:

Fabrieken die zich er mee bemoeien, enorm veel sponsorgeld, vele grote namen, topcoureurs, enorme startgrids, nou alleen nog mooie wagens.
